At Elevation Massage & Spa, we’ve always believed in treating the whole person, not just the symptom. That’s why we’re excited to introduce a new offering designed for those looking to go deeper in their healing journey.
Somatic Healing & Integrative Bodywork is a therapeutic session that blends massage, nervous system education, and body-based coaching. It’s a safe, intentional space for you to unwind, release, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been holding on for too long.
So What Is “Somatic,” Exactly?
The word somatic comes from the Greek word soma, which means “the living body.” Somatic work focuses on what you feel in your body. Not what you think about it. Not what story it comes from. Just what you notice right here, right now.
In our sessions, we use somatic principles to help guide you back into the present moment through breath, body awareness, and therapeutic touch. You’re not expected to tell your life story. You’re invited to feel the one your body is already telling.
This work is especially helpful for people navigating:
- Chronic stress, anxiety, or burnout
- Trauma (big-T or little-t) that still lives in the body
- Physical tension that persists despite regular massage
- Feeling emotionally numb, disconnected, or on edge
How Somatic Bodywork Is Different From Traditional Massage
A traditional massage targets muscle groups and fascia to release physical tension. Don’t get us wrong, you know we love a good deep tissue session, but sometimes that's not what's truly needed.
Somatic bodywork goes a layer deeper. It acknowledges that your nervous system, your emotions, and your past experiences all shape how your body feels. So instead of rushing to fix or unwind tension, we slow things down.
Here’s how a session might flow:
- We begin with grounding, breathwork, and a verbal check-in
- Touch is applied slowly and intentionally, allowing your body time to respond
- You’ll be invited to notice what you’re feeling, without judgment or pressure
- We’ll pause when needed, reflect when helpful, and hold space for whatever comes up
- The session ends with a regulating exercise and a take-home practice

What to Expect
Every session is customized based on where you are in the moment. No two sessions are the same. Some days we work primarily with the body. Some days the emotions come to the surface. Some days are quiet. Others are cathartic. All are welcome.

Entry point for nervous system work.
Somatic Foundations is designed to establish safety, awareness, and baseline regulation. This session focuses on identifying primary tension patterns and introducing the body to a slower, more intentional therapeutic pace.
We work with breath, guided awareness, and targeted bodywork to begin interrupting habitual stress responses.
Best for:
- New somatic clients
- Acute stress or overwhelm
- Building body awareness
- Establishing regulation before deeper work
- If you are navigating long-standing patterns, trauma history, or chronic tension, a longer session may allow for more complete processing.
SOMATIC UNWINDING
75 Minutes | $225
Space to slow down and follow what surfaces.
Somatic Unwinding allows additional time to move beyond surface tension and begin working with layered holding patterns. With extended pacing, we can track subtle shifts in the nervous system and support the body through natural release cycles.
This session blends therapeutic bodywork with somatic awareness practices to encourage deeper unwinding without rushing integration.
Best for:
- Recurring tension patterns
- Emotional stress stored in the body
- Clients ready to move beyond symptom relief
- For clients working on entrenched patterns or trauma-based responses, 90 minutes or longer may provide more comprehensive repatterning.
SOMATIC REGULATION & REPATTERNING
90 Minutes | $250
Where real change begins.
This session allows time to activate, track, and shift established nervous system patterns. With 90 minutes, we are no longer managing symptoms, we are addressing the underlying regulatory cycles that drive them.
You can expect:
- Focused nervous system assessment
- Targeted myofascial and therapeutic work
- Guided somatic tracking
- Pattern interruption and repatterning
- Structured down-regulation
This is the ideal session for clients working through chronic stress, burnout, trauma history, or persistent pain patterns.
If your goal is accelerated progress or full-system recalibration, the Somatic Intensive offers the most complete container.
SOMATIC INTENSIVE: DEEP INTEGRATION
120 Minutes | $400
A complete nervous system cycle.
The Somatic Intensive is designed for clients ready to move beyond incremental change and into measurable transformation.
Two full hours allows us to move through activation, processing, repatterning, and integration without compressing the body’s natural pacing. This extended container supports deeper release, stronger reinforcement of new patterns, and more stable regulation before you leave. This is not simply more time. It is more capacity.

- Comprehensive intake and assessment
- Advanced repatterning work
- Therapeutic bodywork and fascial release
- Breath and regulation integration
- Extended down-regulation and consolidation
